Before renovating this basement the clients characterized this room as a black hole with shag carpet and paneled walls. It was their least favorite room in the house. To open up the room we cut in large windows and terraced the retaining wall and garden. To lighten the room, we painted the fireplace brick white. The wet bar and entertainment center were custom made at the Parrish cabinet shop. The wet bar features cantilevered glass shelves with no visible means of support. This is now considered the "favored room in the house" with its bright and inviting feel.

This basement remodel was just one of the many projects handled for this client. The kitchen was remodeled twice - first 20 years ago and the second in 2002. The master bedroom and master bath have also been transformed.
