New construction

This is a striking contemporary design reminiscent of Haertling's "Aspenleaf" house. The home hugs the face of a cliff with spectacular views of the Boulder Valley.

The word dramatic doesn't do this home justice. As you enter the home you cross a stone bridge into the main living area. Light is brought into the home from intersecting barrel vaulted skylights. The vaulted cedar paneled ceiling creates a radiating pattern, which extends through the living room glass windows to form the exterior soffit.

This is a view from behind the house, looking out toward Boulder valley. In the middle
of the roof you can see one of the barrel vaulted skylights.

This view is from the face of the cliff looking up to one of the "aspen leaves." Notice the cedar soffit, which is a continuation of the vaulted ceilings.

This is a view of the formal living room. You can get a better view of the cedar-paneled roof.

In this view, you can see the intersection of the two legs of the barrel-vaulted skylights. Fieldstone, as is used here, can be seen throughout the house.

This view of the kitchen shows how the counters follow the curving line of the outside walls.

New owners of the home utilized Parrish to enlarge and remodel certain rooms to suit their lifestyle.
