DAILY CAMERA- April 28,’10-  “Tour Benefits I Have a Dream…”
More than 250 people attended the “Kitchens Are Cooking” Home Tour May 1-2, 2010 sponsored by Studio3 and the “I Have a Dream®” Foundation of Boulder County. During our leg of the tour, “East Meets West,” our kitchen, as well as a unique backyard dining pavilion was one of ten homes included in this mouth-watering tour. Guests enjoyed a sushi-rolling demonstration and tasting hosted by Hapa Sushi, and the opportunity to participate in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony in the outside dining pavilion, performed by Shofukai, the association who performs for the Denver Botanic Gardens. This outdoor pavilion was inspired by traditional Japanese architecture. All proceeds from the sales of the went to the “I Have a Dream®” Foundation of Boulder’s Healthy Minds = Healthy Bodies program. ^ Click on the above link to view the archived PDF of the full article and view images of our kitchen.

BOULDER COUNTY BUSINESS REPORT- Jan. 25 ‘10- “Makeover Magic”
Larry Parrish, President of Parrish Construction is a prominent builder featured and quoted in this BCBR article which discusses building trends. “Those who don’t require a violent output of water might opt for super showers with steam units, frameless hinged European glass doors, and inside fold-down benches. DAILY CAMERA, Oct. 3 ‘09- “Unknowns About Boulder House Size Lingers”
Listed as #2 on the “Top 10 Stories of 2009″ by the Daily Camera on 12.21.09, the issue of Boulder’s house size rules were an ongoing debate. RE-NEW MAGAZINE, Spring ‘08 -”Boulder Remodel Attracts National Attention”
As a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), Parrish Construction worked with a local Japanese family in need of an addition to accommodate the owner’s mother who had moved to Boulder County from Japan to live with them.  BOULDER COUNTY BUSINESS REPORT, Feb. 6 ‘09- “Awards” (For 2008 Best Regional Training, NKBA)
Parrish Construction won the 2008 Best Regional Training presentation award from the Rocky Mountain chapter of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA).
